On Tucson’s east side Tuesday afternoon, a motorcycle driver was slain when her vehicle collided with a truck.
According to a press release from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, Alexandra Hegel, 32, was traveling a motorcycle when she collided with a pickup truck near North Sabino Canyon and North Indian Ruins roads at 3:13 p.m.
Hegel expired there and then. The 79-year-old pickup vehicle driver did not sustain any injuries.
On Tuesday, the road was closed for a while while officers looked into the collision.
According to the initial findings of the inquiry, the pickup was traveling east from Indian Ruins onto Sabino Canyon Road when the Hagen was traveling south on Sabino Canyon Road.
